9:108
Open Ayah
لَاتَقُمۡفِيهِأَبَدٗاۚلَّمَسۡجِدٌأُسِّسَعَلَىٱلتَّقۡوَىٰمِنۡأَوَّلِيَوۡمٍأَحَقُّأَنتَقُومَفِيهِۚفِيهِرِجَالٞيُحِبُّونَأَنيَتَطَهَّرُواْۚوَٱللَّهُيُحِبُّٱلۡمُطَّهِّرِينَ١٠٨
Saheeh International

Do not stand [for prayer] within it - ever. A mosque founded on righteousness from the first day1 is more worthy for you to stand in. Within it are men who love to purify themselves; and Allāh loves those who purify themselves.

لَاLa
تَقُمْtaqum
فِيهِfeehi
أَبَدًۭا ۚabadan
لَّمَسْجِدٌlamasjidun
أُسِّسَossisa
عَلَىAAala
ٱلتَّقْوَىٰalttaqwa
مِنْmin
أَوَّلِawwali
يَوْمٍyawmin
أَحَقُّahaqqu
أَنan
تَقُومَtaqooma
فِيهِ ۚfeehi
فِيهِfeehi
رِجَالٌۭrijalun
يُحِبُّونَyuhibboona
أَنan
يَتَطَهَّرُوا۟ ۚyatatahharoo
وَٱللَّهُwaAllahu
يُحِبُّyuhibbu
ٱلْمُطَّهِّرِينَalmuttahhireena
9:17
Open Ayah
مَاكَانَلِلۡمُشۡرِكِينَأَنيَعۡمُرُواْمَسَٰجِدَٱللَّهِشَٰهِدِينَعَلَىٰٓأَنفُسِهِمبِٱلۡكُفۡرِۚأُوْلَٰٓئِكَحَبِطَتۡأَعۡمَٰلُهُمۡوَفِيٱلنَّارِهُمۡخَٰلِدُونَ١٧
Saheeh International

It is not for the polytheists to maintain the mosques of Allāh [while] witnessing against themselves with disbelief. [For] those, their deeds have become worthless, and in the Fire they will abide eternally.

مَاMa
كَانَkana
لِلْمُشْرِكِينَlilmushrikeena
أَنan
يَعْمُرُوا۟yaAAmuroo
مَسَـٰجِدَmasajida
ٱللَّهِAllahi
شَـٰهِدِينَshahideena
عَلَىٰٓAAala
أَنفُسِهِمanfusihim
بِٱلْكُفْرِ ۚbialkufri
أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَolaika
حَبِطَتْhabitat
أَعْمَـٰلُهُمْaAAmaluhum
وَفِىwafee
ٱلنَّارِalnnari
هُمْhum
خَـٰلِدُونَkhalidoona
9:18
Open Ayah
إِنَّمَايَعۡمُرُمَسَٰجِدَٱللَّهِمَنۡءَامَنَبِٱللَّهِوَٱلۡيَوۡمِٱلۡأٓخِرِوَأَقَامَٱلصَّلَوٰةَوَءَاتَىٱلزَّكَوٰةَوَلَمۡيَخۡشَإِلَّاٱللَّهَۖفَعَسَىٰٓأُوْلَٰٓئِكَأَنيَكُونُواْمِنَٱلۡمُهۡتَدِينَ١٨
Saheeh International

The mosques of Allāh are only to be maintained by those who believe in Allāh and the Last Day and establish prayer and give zakāh and do not fear except Allāh, for it is expected that those will be of the [rightly] guided.

إِنَّمَاInnama
يَعْمُرُyaAAmuru
مَسَـٰجِدَmasajida
ٱللَّهِAllahi
مَنْman
ءَامَنَamana
بِٱللَّهِbiAllahi
وَٱلْيَوْمِwaalyawmi
ٱلْـَٔاخِرِalakhiri
وَأَقَامَwaaqama
ٱلصَّلَوٰةَalssalata
وَءَاتَىwaata
ٱلزَّكَوٰةَalzzakata
وَلَمْwalam
يَخْشَyakhsha
إِلَّاilla
ٱللَّهَ ۖAllaha
فَعَسَىٰٓfaAAasa
أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَolaika
أَنan
يَكُونُوا۟yakoonoo
مِنَmina
ٱلْمُهْتَدِينَalmuhtadeena
17:1
Open Ayah
سُبۡحَٰنَٱلَّذِيٓأَسۡرَىٰبِعَبۡدِهِۦلَيۡلٗامِّنَٱلۡمَسۡجِدِٱلۡحَرَامِإِلَىٱلۡمَسۡجِدِٱلۡأَقۡصَاٱلَّذِيبَٰرَكۡنَاحَوۡلَهُۥلِنُرِيَهُۥمِنۡءَايَٰتِنَآۚإِنَّهُۥهُوَٱلسَّمِيعُٱلۡبَصِيرُ١
Saheeh International

Exalted1 is He who took His Servant [i.e., Prophet Muḥammad (ﷺ)] by night from al-Masjid al-Ḥarām to al-Masjid al-Aqṣā,2 whose surroundings We have blessed, to show him of Our signs. Indeed, He is the Hearing,3 the Seeing.4

سُبْحَـٰنَSubhana
ٱلَّذِىٓallathee
أَسْرَىٰasra
بِعَبْدِهِۦbiAAabdihi
لَيْلًۭاlaylan
مِّنَmina
ٱلْمَسْجِدِalmasjidi
ٱلْحَرَامِalharami
إِلَىila
ٱلْمَسْجِدِalmasjidi
ٱلْأَقْصَاalaqsa
ٱلَّذِىallathee
بَـٰرَكْنَاbarakna
حَوْلَهُۥhawlahu
لِنُرِيَهُۥlinuriyahu
مِنْmin
ءَايَـٰتِنَآ ۚayatina
إِنَّهُۥinnahu
هُوَhuwa
ٱلسَّمِيعُalssameeAAu
ٱلْبَصِيرُalbaseeru
