28:55
Open Ayah
وَإِذَاسَمِعُواْٱللَّغۡوَأَعۡرَضُواْعَنۡهُوَقَالُواْلَنَآأَعۡمَٰلُنَاوَلَكُمۡأَعۡمَٰلُكُمۡسَلَٰمٌعَلَيۡكُمۡلَانَبۡتَغِيٱلۡجَٰهِلِينَ٥٥
Saheeh International

And when they hear ill speech, they turn away from it and say, "For us are our deeds, and for you are your deeds. Peace will be upon you;1 we seek not the ignorant."

وَإِذَاWaitha
سَمِعُوا۟samiAAoo
ٱللَّغْوَallaghwa
أَعْرَضُوا۟aAAradoo
عَنْهُAAanhu
وَقَالُوا۟waqaloo
لَنَآlana
أَعْمَـٰلُنَاaAAmaluna
وَلَكُمْwalakum
أَعْمَـٰلُكُمْaAAmalukum
سَلَـٰمٌsalamun
عَلَيْكُمْAAalaykum
لَاla
نَبْتَغِىnabtaghee
ٱلْجَـٰهِلِينَaljahileena
42:15
Open Ayah
فَلِذَٰلِكَفَٱدۡعُۖوَٱسۡتَقِمۡكَمَآأُمِرۡتَۖوَلَاتَتَّبِعۡأَهۡوَآءَهُمۡۖوَقُلۡءَامَنتُبِمَآأَنزَلَٱللَّهُمِنكِتَٰبٖۖوَأُمِرۡتُلِأَعۡدِلَبَيۡنَكُمُۖٱللَّهُرَبُّنَاوَرَبُّكُمۡۖلَنَآأَعۡمَٰلُنَاوَلَكُمۡأَعۡمَٰلُكُمۡۖلَاحُجَّةَبَيۡنَنَاوَبَيۡنَكُمُۖٱللَّهُيَجۡمَعُبَيۡنَنَاۖوَإِلَيۡهِٱلۡمَصِيرُ١٥
Saheeh International

So to that [religion of Allāh] invite, [O Muḥammad],1 and remain on a right course as you are commanded and do not follow their inclinations but say, "I have believed in what Allāh has revealed of scripture [i.e., the Qur’ān], and I have been commanded to do justice among you. Allāh is our Lord and your Lord. For us are our deeds, and for you your deeds.2 There is no [need for] argument between us and you.3 Allāh will bring us together, and to Him is the [final] destination."

فَلِذَٰلِكَFalithalika
فَٱدْعُ ۖfaodAAu
وَٱسْتَقِمْwaistaqim
كَمَآkama
أُمِرْتَ ۖomirta
وَلَاwala
تَتَّبِعْtattabiAA
أَهْوَآءَهُمْ ۖahwaahum
وَقُلْwaqul
ءَامَنتُamantu
بِمَآbima
أَنزَلَanzala
ٱللَّهُAllahu
مِنmin
كِتَـٰبٍۢ ۖkitabin
وَأُمِرْتُwaomirtu
لِأَعْدِلَliaAAdila
بَيْنَكُمُ ۖbaynakum
ٱللَّهُAllahu
رَبُّنَاrabbuna
وَرَبُّكُمْ ۖwarabbukum
لَنَآlana
أَعْمَـٰلُنَاaAAmaluna
وَلَكُمْwalakum
أَعْمَـٰلُكُمْ ۖaAAmalukum
لَاla
حُجَّةَhujjata
بَيْنَنَاbaynana
وَبَيْنَكُمُ ۖwabaynakumu
ٱللَّهُAllahu
يَجْمَعُyajmaAAu
بَيْنَنَا ۖbaynana
وَإِلَيْهِwailayhi
ٱلْمَصِيرُalmaseeru
45:15
Open Ayah
مَنۡعَمِلَصَٰلِحٗافَلِنَفۡسِهِۦۖوَمَنۡأَسَآءَفَعَلَيۡهَاۖثُمَّإِلَىٰرَبِّكُمۡتُرۡجَعُونَ١٥
Saheeh International

Whoever does a good deed - it is for himself; and whoever does evil - it is against it [i.e., the self or soul]. Then to your Lord you will be returned.

مَنْMan
عَمِلَAAamila
صَـٰلِحًۭاsalihan
فَلِنَفْسِهِۦ ۖfalinafsihi
وَمَنْwaman
أَسَآءَasaa
فَعَلَيْهَا ۖfaAAalayha
ثُمَّthumma
إِلَىٰila
رَبِّكُمْrabbikum
تُرْجَعُونَturjaAAoona
