وَلَايُنفِقُونَنَفَقَةٗصَغِيرَةٗوَلَاكَبِيرَةٗوَلَايَقۡطَعُونَوَادِيًاإِلَّاكُتِبَلَهُمۡلِيَجۡزِيَهُمُٱللَّهُأَحۡسَنَمَاكَانُواْيَعۡمَلُونَ١٢١
Saheeh International

Nor do they spend an expenditure, small or large, or cross a valley but that it is registered for them that Allāh may reward them for the best of what they were doing.

وَلَاWala
يُنفِقُونَyunfiqoona
نَفَقَةًۭnafaqatan
صَغِيرَةًۭsagheeratan
وَلَاwala
كَبِيرَةًۭkabeeratan
وَلَاwala
يَقْطَعُونَyaqtaAAoona
وَادِيًاwadiyan
إِلَّاilla
كُتِبَkutiba
لَهُمْlahum
لِيَجْزِيَهُمُliyajziyahumu
ٱللَّهُAllahu
أَحْسَنَahsana
مَاma
كَانُوا۟kanoo
يَعْمَلُونَyaAAmaloona
رَّبَّنَآإِنِّيٓأَسۡكَنتُمِنذُرِّيَّتِيبِوَادٍغَيۡرِذِيزَرۡعٍعِندَبَيۡتِكَٱلۡمُحَرَّمِرَبَّنَالِيُقِيمُواْٱلصَّلَوٰةَفَٱجۡعَلۡأَفۡـِٔدَةٗمِّنَٱلنَّاسِتَهۡوِيٓإِلَيۡهِمۡوَٱرۡزُقۡهُممِّنَٱلثَّمَرَٰتِلَعَلَّهُمۡيَشۡكُرُونَ٣٧
Saheeh International

Our Lord, I have settled some of my descendants in an uncultivated valley near Your sacred House, our Lord, that they may establish prayer. So make hearts among the people incline toward them and provide for them from the fruits that they might be grateful.

رَّبَّنَآRabbana
إِنِّىٓinnee
أَسْكَنتُaskantu
مِنmin
ذُرِّيَّتِىthurriyyatee
بِوَادٍbiwadin
غَيْرِghayri
ذِىthee
زَرْعٍzarAAin
عِندَAAinda
بَيْتِكَbaytika
ٱلْمُحَرَّمِalmuharrami
رَبَّنَاrabbana
لِيُقِيمُوا۟liyuqeemoo
ٱلصَّلَوٰةَalssalata
فَٱجْعَلْfaijAAal
أَفْـِٔدَةًۭafidatan
مِّنَmina
ٱلنَّاسِalnnasi
تَهْوِىٓtahwee
إِلَيْهِمْilayhim
وَٱرْزُقْهُمwaorzuqhum
مِّنَmina
ٱلثَّمَرَٰتِalththamarati
لَعَلَّهُمْlaAAallahum
يَشْكُرُونَyashkuroona
إِنِّيٓأَنَا۠رَبُّكَفَٱخۡلَعۡنَعۡلَيۡكَإِنَّكَبِٱلۡوَادِٱلۡمُقَدَّسِطُوٗى١٢
Saheeh International

Indeed, I am your Lord, so remove your sandals. Indeed, you are in the blessed valley of Ṭuwā.

إِنِّىٓInnee
أَنَا۠ana
رَبُّكَrabbuka
فَٱخْلَعْfaikhlaAA
نَعْلَيْكَ ۖnaAAlayka
إِنَّكَinnaka
بِٱلْوَادِbialwadi
ٱلْمُقَدَّسِalmuqaddasi
طُوًۭىtuwan
حَتَّىٰٓإِذَآأَتَوۡاْعَلَىٰوَادِٱلنَّمۡلِقَالَتۡنَمۡلَةٞيَٰٓأَيُّهَاٱلنَّمۡلُٱدۡخُلُواْمَسَٰكِنَكُمۡلَايَحۡطِمَنَّكُمۡسُلَيۡمَٰنُوَجُنُودُهُۥوَهُمۡلَايَشۡعُرُونَ١٨
Saheeh International

Until, when they came upon the valley of the ants, an ant said, "O ants, enter your dwellings that you not be crushed by Solomon and his soldiers while they perceive not."

حَتَّىٰٓHatta
إِذَآitha
أَتَوْا۟ataw
عَلَىٰAAala
وَادِwadi
ٱلنَّمْلِalnnamli
قَالَتْqalat
نَمْلَةٌۭnamlatun
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاyaayyuha
ٱلنَّمْلُalnnamlu
ٱدْخُلُوا۟odkhuloo
مَسَـٰكِنَكُمْmasakinakum
لَاla
يَحْطِمَنَّكُمْyahtimannakum
سُلَيْمَـٰنُsulaymanu
وَجُنُودُهُۥwajunooduhu
وَهُمْwahum
لَاla
يَشْعُرُونَyashAAuroona
فَلَمَّآأَتَىٰهَانُودِيَمِنشَٰطِيِٕٱلۡوَادِٱلۡأَيۡمَنِفِيٱلۡبُقۡعَةِٱلۡمُبَٰرَكَةِمِنَٱلشَّجَرَةِأَنيَٰمُوسَىٰٓإِنِّيٓأَنَاٱللَّهُرَبُّٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ٣٠
Saheeh International

But when he came to it, he was called from the right side of the valley in a blessed spot - from the tree,1 "O Moses, indeed I am Allāh, Lord of the worlds."

فَلَمَّآFalamma
أَتَىٰهَاataha
نُودِىَnoodiya
مِنmin
شَـٰطِئِshatii
ٱلْوَادِalwadi
ٱلْأَيْمَنِalaymani
فِىfee
ٱلْبُقْعَةِalbuqAAati
ٱلْمُبَـٰرَكَةِalmubarakati
مِنَmina
ٱلشَّجَرَةِalshshajarati
أَنan
يَـٰمُوسَىٰٓyamoosa
إِنِّىٓinnee
أَنَاana
ٱللَّهُAllahu
رَبُّrabbu
ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَalAAalameena
فَلَمَّارَأَوۡهُعَارِضٗامُّسۡتَقۡبِلَأَوۡدِيَتِهِمۡقَالُواْهَٰذَاعَارِضٞمُّمۡطِرُنَاۚبَلۡهُوَمَاٱسۡتَعۡجَلۡتُمبِهِۦۖرِيحٞفِيهَاعَذَابٌأَلِيمٞ٢٤
Saheeh International

And when they saw it as a cloud approaching their valleys, they said, "This is a cloud bringing us rain!" Rather, it is that for which you were impatient:1 a wind, within it a painful punishment,

فَلَمَّاFalamma
رَأَوْهُraawhu
عَارِضًۭاAAaridan
مُّسْتَقْبِلَmustaqbila
أَوْدِيَتِهِمْawdiyatihim
قَالُوا۟qaloo
هَـٰذَاhatha
عَارِضٌۭAAaridun
مُّمْطِرُنَا ۚmumtiruna
بَلْbal
هُوَhuwa
مَاma
ٱسْتَعْجَلْتُمistaAAjaltum
بِهِۦ ۖbihi
رِيحٌۭreehun
فِيهَاfeeha
عَذَابٌAAathabun
أَلِيمٌۭaleemun
هَلۡأَتَىٰكَحَدِيثُمُوسَىٰٓ١٥
Saheeh International

Has there reached you the story of Moses? -

هَلْHal
أَتَىٰكَataka
حَدِيثُhadeethu
مُوسَىٰٓmoosa
إِذۡنَادَىٰهُرَبُّهُۥبِٱلۡوَادِٱلۡمُقَدَّسِطُوًى١٦
Saheeh International

When his Lord called to him in the sacred valley of Ṭuwā,

إِذْIth
نَادَىٰهُnadahu
رَبُّهُۥrabbuhu
بِٱلْوَادِbialwadi
ٱلْمُقَدَّسِalmuqaddasi
طُوًىtuwan
أَلَمۡتَرَكَيۡفَفَعَلَرَبُّكَبِعَادٍ٦
Saheeh International

Have you not considered how your Lord dealt with ʿAad -

أَلَمْAlam
تَرَtara
كَيْفَkayfa
فَعَلَfaAAala
رَبُّكَrabbuka
بِعَادٍbiAAadin
إِرَمَذَاتِٱلۡعِمَادِ٧
Saheeh International

[With] Iram1 - who had lofty pillars,2

إِرَمَIrama
ذَاتِthati
ٱلْعِمَادِalAAimadi
ٱلَّتِيلَمۡيُخۡلَقۡمِثۡلُهَافِيٱلۡبِلَٰدِ٨
Saheeh International

The likes of whom had never been created in the land?

ٱلَّتِىAllatee
لَمْlam
يُخْلَقْyukhlaq
مِثْلُهَاmithluha
فِىfee
ٱلْبِلَـٰدِalbiladi
وَثَمُودَٱلَّذِينَجَابُواْٱلصَّخۡرَبِٱلۡوَادِ٩
Saheeh International

And [with] Thamūd, who carved out the rocks in the valley?

وَثَمُودَWathamooda
ٱلَّذِينَallatheena
جَابُوا۟jaboo
ٱلصَّخْرَalssakhra
بِٱلْوَادِbialwadi
