Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the alternation of the night and the day, and the [great] ships which sail through the sea with that which benefits people, and what Allāh has sent down from the heavens of rain, giving life thereby to the earth after its lifelessness and dispersing therein every [kind of] moving creature, and [His] directing of the winds and the clouds controlled between the heaven and earth are signs for a people who use reason.

It is He who created for you all of that which is on the earth. Then He directed Himself¹ to the heaven, [His being above all creation], and made them seven heavens, and He is Knowing of all things.

And to Allāh belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. He forgives whom He wills and punishes whom He wills. And Allāh is Forgiving and Merciful.

[He is] Originator of the heavens and the earth. How could He have a son when He does not have a companion [i.e., wife] and He created all things? And He is, of all things, Knowing.

And it is He who created the heavens and earth in truth. And the day [i.e., whenever] He says, "Be," and it is, His word is the truth.¹ And His is the dominion [on] the Day the Horn is blown. [He is] Knower of the unseen² and the witnessed;³ and He is the Wise, the Aware.

The seven heavens and the earth and whatever is in them exalt Him. And there is not a thing except that it exalts [Allāh] by His praise, but you do not understand their [way of] exalting. Indeed, He is ever Forbearing¹ and Forgiving.

Then He directed Himself¹ to the heaven while it was smoke and said to it and to the earth, "Come [into being],² willingly or by compulsion." They said, "We have come willingly."

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

It is Allāh who has created seven heavens and of the earth, the like of them.¹ [His] command descends among them so you may know that Allāh is over all things competent and that Allāh has encompassed all things in knowledge.

[And] who created seven heavens in layers.¹ You do not see in the creation of the Most Merciful any inconsistency. So return [your] vision [to the sky]; do you see any breaks?

Do you not consider how Allāh has created seven heavens in layers¹

And constructed above you seven strong [heavens]

And at the sky - how it is raised?
