Scriptures

Then if they deny you, [O Muḥammad] - so were messengers denied before you, who brought clear proofs and written ordinances and the enlightening Scripture.¹

And they say, "Why does he not bring us a sign from his Lord?" Has there not come to them evidence of what was in the former scriptures?¹

Or has he not been informed of what was in the scriptures of Moses

Indeed, this is in the former scriptures,

The scriptures of Abraham and Moses.

Those who disbelieved among the People of the Scripture and the polytheists were not to be parted [from misbelief]¹ until there came to them clear evidence –

A Messenger from Allāh, reciting purified¹ scriptures
