Quran, a Reminder

Then do you wonder that there has come to you a reminder from your Lord through a man from among you, that he may warn you and that you may fear Allāh so you might receive mercy?"

And you do not ask of them for it any payment. It is not except a reminder to the worlds.

Those whose eyes had been within a cover [removed] from My remembrance,¹ and they were not able to hear.²

And whoever turns away from My remembrance - indeed, he will have a depressed [i.e., difficult] life, and We will gather [i.e., raise] him on the Day of Resurrection blind."

But only as a reminder for those who fear [Allāh] -

Thus, [O Muḥammad], We relate to you from the news of what has preceded. And We have certainly given you from Us a message [i.e., the Qur’ān].

He led me away from the remembrance¹ after it had come to me. And ever is Satan, to man, a deserter."²

You can only warn one who follows the message and fears the Most Merciful unseen. So give him good tidings of forgiveness and noble reward.

And We did not give him [i.e., Prophet Muḥammad (ﷺ)] knowledge of poetry, nor is it befitting for him. It is not but a message and a clear Qur’ān

And indeed, it is a remembrance¹ for you and your people, and you [all] are going to be questioned.

Giving insight and a reminder for every servant who turns [to Allāh].

Allāh has prepared for them a severe punishment; so fear Allāh, O you of understanding who have believed. Allāh has sent down to you a message [i.e., the Qur’ān].¹

So We might test them therein. And whoever turns away from the remembrance of his Lord¹ He will put into arduous punishment.
